Physics Teaching Assistant
I pursued a position as a physics teaching assistant for several reasons. I saw it as an opportunity to strengthen my public speaking skills, improve my ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse groups of students, and take on a greater sense of responsibility in supporting the education of peers on a similar academic path.
In this role, I worked with a range of physics courses, from general education classes to calculous based physics II. Each presented its own challenges and rewards, requiring me to adapt my explanations and teaching style to different levels of understanding. Overall, the experience provided the kind of growth I was seeking, both in communication and in my ability to guide others through difficult material.
